Privacy policy

This page explains what information the Forma app collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and plain.

Forma is made by Giada Lanzalaco, an independent developer (“we”). You can reach us at the address at the bottom of this page.

What we collect

What we don't do

Services we use

To run Forma we rely on a few trusted services. They handle data only on our behalf and only to provide their service to us, and they are bound by their own terms to protect it at least as well as we do:

Shared book summaries

If two people open the same book, Forma reuses the summaries it already made. These summaries are about the book, not about you, and never include your name or email.

How long we keep it

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete account. This removes your name, email and notification token, and unlinks you from any books you analysed. Books on your phone stay on your phone until you delete them or remove the app.

Deleting your account also asks Firebase and PostHog to delete your reading statistics. PostHog removes them right away; Google may take a few days to remove them from Firebase.

Your choices and rights

Children

Forma is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
